Indoor Comfort Measurment

JT2180 is a portable environmental thermal comfort tester, which integrates temperature, humidity, wind speed, black ball temperature, wet ball temperature and other sensors, conforms to the PMV and PPD index algorithm of ISO7730, and integrates PM2.5 and CO2 sensors as an important reference index for indoor air quality testing.
This instrument is the latest version upgraded on the basis of more than 10 years of development experience of comfort instrument of Jiantong technology. It has the function of expanding noise and illumination, as well as the function of remote wireless transmission. It can realize remote data management through "Jiantong cloud platform" and access remote data in real time through web page or wechat applet, which greatly facilitates users' off-site measurement or long-term measurement needs.

What is thermal comfort?
Thermal comfort is a subjective satisfaction evaluation of people's surrounding thermal environment (ISO 7730), which is mainly divided into three aspects: physical aspect, physiological aspect and psychological aspect.

JT2180 adopts ISO standard evaluation method
ISO has formulated the ISO 7730 standard based on the research results of Professor P.O. Fanger in Denmark. In the ISO 7730 standard, PMV-PPD index is used to describe and evaluate the thermal environment. The index comprehensively considers six factors such as human activity degree, clothing thermal resistance, air temperature, air humidity, average radiation temperature and air flow speed, and determines the cold and warm feeling level of most people through subjective feeling test under the condition of meeting the human body heat balance equation. The above research results and corresponding standards form the basis for the design of comfortable thermal environment in the future.

Measurement application
PMV-PPD is one of the most important indicators in the evaluation of indoor environmental quality. It fully considers human factors rather than objective conditions. PMV-PPD prediction data also plays an important role in architectural design. In addition to buildings, PMV-PPD indicators are increasingly used in other fields for space thermal comfort evaluation, such as high-speed railway cars, subway cars, helicopter cockpits, automobile cars, etc.

PMV Predicted Mean Vote
PMV value is the evaluation index of human thermal response (cold and heat sensation) proposed by Professor P.O. Fanger of Denmark, which represents the average of cold and heat sensation of most people in the same environment.
Pmv-pdd thermal comfort model is the earliest mathematical model of human body temperature regulation. It has seven senses, namely:
Cold (- 3) / / cool (- 2) / / slightly cool (- 1) / / neutral (0) / / slightly warm (+ 1) / / warm (+ 2) / / hot (+ 3).

PPD        Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied
The PPD index is the average voting value of the groups expected to be in the thermal environment who are dissatisfied with the thermal environment. The PPD index can predict whether a group feels too warm or too cold, "according to a poll of seven levels of heat sensation.

Data analysis software
JTSOFT-IAQ
JTsoft-IAQ is a stand-alone processing software specially developed for JT2180 comfort tester. It has the functions of data export, data analysis, data editing, result calculation, report output, curve output, etc. this software is a professional evaluation software based on the operating system above win7.
According to relevant standards and theories, the evaluation indexes of hot environment, comfortable environment and cold environment can be calculated and analyzed, and the corresponding evaluation report output is available.
